Linkstation Pro Duo E13
« on: November 30, 2008, 06:05:40 PM »

Hello,

I have a problem with my Linkstation Pro Duo and don't know how to solve.

I have replaced one of the hard drives with another 1 TB hard drive.

Now when I start the Linkstation the power led is flashing permanently and I get an error "E13 Error occurred on RAID Array X".

I can ping the Linkstation but I can not connect to the web interface.

Any ideas how to connect?

Do I have to make partitions on the new hard drive first?

Thanks for all help!

alex

Try to boot in em mode (hold the init button down while booting)

or try to flash the firmware on the unit.

I tried to do that.

I could boot in EM Mode and tried to update the firmware "LSUpdater.exe" tool.

I looks like the firmware was written (I25).

But after automatic reboot  the Error Code E23 ("Hard Drive X is faulty, and excluded from RAID Array because of error") is shown.

The Update tool told me:

"LS-WTGL/R1-V3 that needs updating wasn't found."

I still can ping the unit.

But I cannot connect to the web interface.

After the next reboot:

The Error Code E13 is shown.

And the power led ist flashing.

Must I partition or format the new hard drive before installing into the unit?

The drive should be in a fat 32 file format

what format is it in?

Also I have TFTP software that will help you.  If you search the forum on "TFTP" you will see a  how to write up on it.

the how to also has the link to the FTP site holding the software.
