W1.OTGL/R1 keeps freezing (vista)
« on: April 19, 2010, 02:08:52 PM »

Keeps freezing when I try to move songs into it. I have vista and can't seem to find download that fixes compatability issues. Task manager does not work.  Everything stops working.

Try downloading the vista patch at this link and install it please. Then resetart. http://buffalotech.com/support/downloads/

In order to get to the download file select the Terastation TM and it will be under utilities.

Did you map the drives via the hostname or IP address?  If you did it by hostname disconnect all of your drives and restart your PC. Bring the run box up and type in \\ipaddressofyounas hit ok and it should bring your share's up.  Right click on the share and go to map network drive.  You should see the drive in computer.  Do the same thing you were doing before and see if the problem is still there.  I dont believe that its an issue with not having  the Vista Patch becuase you can map the drives.  Usually in the case of having to install the Vista Patch is a Authencation issue which you are not having.
