Hi.

I am using the Drivestation solely connected to my network, never been on a USB.  Used the Web Admin tool to change the name and sleep time, etc.  All PC's are running XP so I am am using windows to map the drive.

1) When I turn the unit ON it defaults to USB mode,  how can I set it to default to LAN mode?  It is connected to the network, with no USB cable connected.

2) When transferring many files from the unit to my PC I often get the error

"Cannot copy filename.  The specified network name is no longer available"

I select the affected file along with many others and continue the copy again and the transfer goes just fine.  What is going on here?

BIOS Version  BUF-CELU2-1.4.B Loader 3.5W1.9

Thanks for your help in advance.

Jay

You can't, you have to hit the button when it turns on.

How are you transferring the files?  Are you giving it enough time to boot and get a valid IP?
