Password reset LS-XL Any help out there.
My nas drive works fine sharing mp3 files with my Sonos 5 but today I wanted to make use of the ftp server with cameras but my username and password and not working. Very strange. Is there a way to reset it. I know the username is admin.
Thanks

The manual usually has a method for this, they usually involve holding a button during boot. Suddenly I can't remember, does that one even have a button?

Failing that you could connect the drive to a linux system and edit /etc/passwd though that's a bit messy.

Thanks for the reply. No it doesn’t have a button. It’s old but solid although not the fasted. I don’t have access to Linux unfortunately

you could always backup your data and reinstall the firmware with a force reformat. then you can set the password to what you want.

Thanks. I’ve cracked the password.
