Linkstation shutting down intermittently, no power, no network.
« on: December 10, 2009, 04:06:15 PM »

My 1TB Linkstation is under a year old. Lately, with the switch set to always on, it will randomly shut down completely and the only way that I can power it back up is to pull the power cord out of it and wait a few seconds before plugging it back in. If I run the agent and have it set to autostart, it will work for a few days and then the same will happen - it will just power down and nothing will bring it back to operation aside from hard-cycling the power.

Has anyone else had this problem? I bought mine at Staples, and when I stopped up there they said that they can't do a Warranty replacement and that I'd need to go through Buffalo directly. On the website however it says that warranty and RMA's CAN be handled through authorized resellers.

Hoping for an official response on the best way to proceed. Thanks much.
