Bought a new TeraStation 3410 with two factory installed 4 tb drives, and two more to fill it up (all same Mfg/Model, WD Red Drive).
After I set it up, I added the 3rd and 4th drives, clicked on Storage, added 3rd drive and selected to convert to RAID 5.
We are on day three of "Rebuilding Array"
Progress was up to 47%, then dropped to 4%, now I'm at 15%

What is the normal conversion time for an out of the box system with zero data? Do I power down, wipe all the drives and simply start over?

Still zero feedback on time it takes. So, status report, we're on day 5 and at 58.4%

So since nobody has answered this, I'll share what I learned...
 7 days

7 days to convert 2 blank 4TB RAID 1, add 2 blanks, set one to Hot Spare, and Convert to RAID 5

7....
days.
