WebAccess WITHOUT BuffaloNAS
« on: December 01, 2009, 02:26:48 PM »

Hello,

I am running a HS-DHGL500 that is connected to a linksys router. I am able to set up WebAccess through BuffaloNAS.com, but ideally I would be able to access it through a subdomain of my website. I suppose this is more of a question for my web host, but which IP address do I point the A record to? Is there some process of opening port 9000 in my router?

I am looking for general instructions to set up web access WITHOUT buffalonas, and beyond just "click disable on buffaloNAS." If it's too difficult technically I will stick with buffalonas but I think it would be more elegant through a subdomain.

thanks.

We only support buffalonas.com usage.  anything passed that you will need to figure out.  Or get yourself a file server and host it on your site.

You can just do the WAN IP:9000 if you want.  Thats all that buffalonas.com uses.
