EMERGENCY MODE NO ARRAY INFO
« on: November 17, 2009, 09:49:11 AM »

I am trying to run the firmware update, but it doesn't find my terastation. I can ping the terastation.

I have tried connecting it to my computer directly and the IP changes to the 192.168.11.150 but it doesn't find it when I run the installer.

Any suggestions would be great.

So when you connect it to your PC directly the TS IP is 192,168,11,150, what is the IP of the PC? They need to be in the same range. Do an ipconfig in DOS and let us know.

Also deactivate your anti virus and firewall software.

PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.

I have the IP of the computer set to 192.168.11.1

255.255.255.0

What should I set the default gateway to?

no, you dont need to set the gateway, what is the exact model of Terastation and what firmware version did you download?

The model number is: TS-H0.0.TGL/R5

I downloaded TS-H1.0TGL/R5 because that is also on the TeraStation. That gave me version 1.33-1.32

Currently if I select that on the buffalo site I get the version 2.16 for any selection.

The Terastation displays.

HS-DHTGL-EMEB4 then the IP 192.168.11.150

Does this mean anything?

You seem to have a Terastation Live (HS-DHTGL/R5) so you might be using the wrong firmware(you downloaded it for the Terastation Pro II). If you are in europe then you should be using 2.14.

First thing you should do is confirm the exact model number that is on the Terastation to see what unit you actually have.

I too face the same kind of problem with the information in the array. It is very useful for anyone to show a lot of intent in knowing about the terastation information. I hope that this is really useful for others in knowing about the perfect things for others to make it.

It will give the proper view for others to make it according to the information on the array. That is the best thing to be done by others in knowing about the accurate things for others to make it.
