« on: July 14, 2020, 12:25:15 PM »
I have  Buffalo ministation 1TB that I bought long time ago, and it says in package win7 compatible. Any possible way to get this to work in windows 10?, Or its junk now because I dont have win7 machines anymore?

This should work fine with Windows 10 as is.

By default SMB 1.0 is not enabled in Windows 10 so that your Buffalo Mini cannot be discovered. Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off > Select SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support to enable SMB 1.0

The MiniStation is a USB drive, doesn't use SMB.

I plug it in and feel it running, but no blue light. Disk manager or device manager is not showing it.

It's more likely a problem with the drive then. If it were just a compatibility issue it would likely show up at least in device manager as a disabled device.

Problem solved, just take it apart, easy to open whole thing. Now I have good Samsung 1Tb hard drive,
