Hi Guys - hope someone can help

Have an LS210 and I cannot access this drive with a Linx 1020 table running Windows 10 PRO after I did a complete system reset/recovery.

The LS210 must be working, as it can be accessed by other machines on the network without problems.

I have turned on SMB-1 setting on in windows but still not working - the tablet reports 0x40004005 (if that helps) also it can access public drives on other network computers.

Thanks in advance
Dave

Hi Dave

Is the Linx on the same network IP range?

If it is then make sure the Linx has got the option for SMB2 enabled.  On the Linx, open the Control Panel (not settings!) and select 'Programs and Features'.  From there, select 'Turn Windows features on or off' and look for the SMB clients (turn them all on for now) and reboot.  Can you see the Buff now?

Cheers

  • RAID is NOT a substitute for a good backup

Check the SMB configuration and make sure that SMBv2 is enabled. Windows 10 turns off SMBv1 by default for security reasons.
