Wi-fi has no Valid IP Configuration | Windows 10
« on: October 31, 2019, 07:02:28 pm »
Recently, my laptop has become unable to connect to wi-fi networks. Troubleshooting gives the answer "Wi-fi has no Valid IP configuration". The wifi connection works on all other devices and shows that there is "No Internet, Secured" under the network icon.

My laptop is an Acer Aspire s7 and has no ethernet port.

Anyone have any suggestions as to how I might go about fixing this?

All help is appreciated!

Okay. It may be a little over the top but I would run the network reset. It will forget all networks and should set most settings back to default.

Start menu => Settings => Network and Internet

Scroll to the bottom of the right window and either at the bottom or near the bottom, "Reset Network".

You will need to re-enter all wireless passwords. Please ensure you click on Connect Automatically as you connect to each wireless network.

See this guideline; https://techloris.com/wifi-doesnt-have-a-valid-ip-configuration/

Hope this helps!
