MP4 support
« on: September 21, 2008, 03:19:05 PM »

I have a linkstation live 1.0TB.  It does not advertise my .mp4 video files to the DLNA client (PS3).  I can stream MP4 files from my PC using Nero, and play MP4 files directly from my PS3.  Why doesnt the Linkstation Live show these videos?  It does show AVI files that I have. I have tried MP4 files using the H264 and Mpeg-4 video codecs.

Secondly, if I am using software to convert my videos, what is the recommended video codec, audio codec and file format for the Linkstation live?

I had a similar problem with the linkstation mini.  I posted some details in this thread:

The problem is not that the LSL will not serve video to the PS3.  It serves my .AVI movies just fine, but it wont serve .MP4 files.  Any suggestions?  TIA.
