HD-CE1.5U2 freezes server 2003R2
« on: September 23, 2009, 02:37:52 PM »

Using the above HD as a tempory backup solution while implementing a SAN.  When I plug the drives in to the server running Server 03 R2 it freezes the desktop and closes explorer.  I can access shared drive but I cannot log off or run anything from the console nor can I log on using RDP.  I have found references to a simular model (HD-CE1.5TU2) but cannot download the required firmware to fix.

Secondly I cannot register the product because the model number does not appear in the drop down.

That model is on the USA registration page pull-down menu and the firmware download site. Did you purchase outside the US/Canada area? US download are restricted by US serial numbers.

I purchased in the states through CDW.  And I can only find the HD-CE1.5TU2.  My product does not have the T in there.

Not sure have the webmaster would add???

The product listed on the list has a T in the model number where the product I purchased does not have a T.

The model number of my product is HD-CE1.5U2 no T.  I even tried downloading the firmware upgrade for the "t" model but the site told me invaild serial number.

Actually - our product marketing people add the part numbers. I'm trying to get them off the phone so they can add it.

Our marketing have confirmed that the model you are describing must have a T on it. Perhaps the sticker on it was misprinted.

Email me your SN and I'll have it entered in our download database for HD-CE1.5TU2.
