Resetting a TS-RVH12TL/R6-R to factory defaults!!

Does anyone know how to reset this machine to factory defaults? We have an old one we are trying to set up and the instructions in the documentation does not work.

I’m assuming that means you’re starting fresh with blank drives. If you’re just trying to reset the admin password or recover data from the device none of this will help with that.

If so, you can create a recovery disk to boot from:
https://buffalonas.miraheze.org/wiki/Create_Recovery_Disk_for_Intel-based_Terastation

That will get you into EM mode, then you can use the firmware updater to do a fresh format/install:

If you’d prefer you could install linux instead of the stock firmware:
