Hi dear Buffalo
You Guys should upgrade firmware from TS1000 series to support iSCSI, because it's more profitable and reliable to manage.
I know they can do it, just it's matter of time that they realized. it's up to Buffalo

If you'd like to add new features to your TS1000 device you can always install Debian Linux on it:

Here's a guide for setting up iscsi in Debian:
