Linkstation remote turn on/off

is it possible to turn it on and off remotely?

I have another NAS and can turn it on and an off remotely with WakeMeOnLan buit it doesn't work with with my LS-CHL

My skills with ssh/pUTTY are (very) limited but I manage to turn off my other NAS.

Don't mind how it's done but wonder if it's possible

The manual will have details on how to turn on/off. Some models can do this from the web interface and others only shutoff when the switch is is moved to the off position.

The manual will also tell if wakeonlan is supported but I doubt it is for that device.

no mention of it in the manual. May have spoken too soon yesterday as it doesn't seem to be responding to the auto off function. As it's in a place that's difficult for me to reach, manually turning it on/off is a chore.
