Cannot access files or web admin on LS-X1
« on: February 25, 2019, 12:00:49 PM »
Hi there

I have an LS-X1.0TL-EU I have been running for a few years.

All of a suddent today I can't access the files. I also can't access the webpage admin at the ip address of the NAS.

I have run NAS Navigator and it shows up the device and doesn't indicate any errors. The ip address is correct.

The firmware version shows as 1.74 and I can't find a more up to date version.

The LSUpdater software shows that there is no device found that needs updating.

I also get no reply when i ping the ip address of the NAS.

Any suggestions how I can get this back please?

Thanks in advance.

So, this is weird.

I don't have any computers running a different OS but thought I'd humour your idea as it doesn't make any sense.

However, I can access the files on a different laptop, also running Windows 10.

Now I'm a bit baffled.

Windows 10 with all actual updates have SMB1 disabled.
Your old nas do not have SMB2 enabled.

Enable SMB1 on Windows 10

Hi there

This sort of happened the other way round.

There was an update that hadn't installed. I restarted the computer and it now works.

I didn't change anything. Strange how the old simple magic restart can resolve some things like this.

Thanks for your replies.
