Joining Terastation to Domain when Data exists on Device
«

I have been using a Terastation 1200 for about a year and have about 1T of data on it. Can I join it to a domain and not worry about any data loss and having to restore backups.
Thanks

RAID is NOT a substitute for a good backup

Joining the TeraStation to a domain just adds the ability for users to authenticate against a domain controller, it does not affect the data partition at all.
However, we always recommend having a good, recent, backup of all data.
