LS220D Will not Initialize
« on: December 22, 2018, 06:21:59 PM »
I've had a LS220D for years, and while cryptic and finnicky at times, has been reliable.  I recently moved and somewhere in the move the unit was dropped because the front door popped off of the unit and the drives were loose and sliding in the guides.  I managed to re-seat the drives and turned it on to find a white flashing light on the front.  There is a problem, though.  Navigator 2 cannot find the unit on my network.  I tried to re-initialize the drive using the button on the back, but when I follow instructions and push the button while the light is flashing it changes to red and flashes in a pattern of 7 and then repeats.  Could this be because I'm using a different cable modem to manage my network?  I will download and reinstall Navigator 2, but I'm not convinced that will solve my problem.

Beyond that does anybody have any suggestions or should I go directly to salvaging the data?

Thanks in advance,

J Leavitt

you have removed both raid drives while the nas is running
both drives ar marked as bad

you can repair the nas, your data are gone

For professionals it is possible to restart the defectiv raid with mdadm
you can try the UFS Explorer Raid Recovery and pay for it
