SMB2 for Terastation Duo

We have 2 TeraStation Duo units, model TS-WX2.0TL/R1.
Is there, or is there going to be a firmware update that supports SMB2 and/or SMB3?

These units have been EOL for a few years now. There is unlikely to be any significant firmware updates for them.
