Macbbok Pro Can Not Connect

Can not connect my new Macbbok Pro to my Buffalo DVSM-PC58U2VB unit. Drawer won't open red flashing light at top of unit

Sounds like the drive is not getting enough power from the USB port. Try connecting the second USB cable as well.
