I've updated to 1.31
I had to replace some drives
Remade the raid 5
I've tried both network ports with same results.

I setup a share and attempted to back up to it with Acronis how never it kept getting disconnect and I had to keep hitting retry.  I finally gave up after 8 hours of this.
I tried to copy file from a usb drive to the share and windows kept doing the same it would keep asking to retry.
I tried the same copy file from a different computer same issue.
Also trying to browse shares at time will take forever.

However ping to unit never fails.

Right now I'm doing an Erase on the unit, not sure if it will help.

Anyone know what may be causing this?

Erased and it now setup as raid 0

Started transferring fast like 50 or 60mb then dropped to almost 0

I'm moving big files and the speed keep going 0mb to 3 or 4mb then once in a while it will jump up to 50mb then right back down to 0.

in task manager you can see the spikes as well

I used a lan speed test tool to transfer 9gb file

while uploading it would be all over the place 50MB all the way down to 0MB
while downloading I got 50MB for a good long time then it dropped  to 0 then back up again

Average upload was 112.11 Mb
Average download was 517 Mb

Is there anything else I can try or is this a hardware issue?

first of all
check your discs
use Crystal disk info on a windows pc
or
smartctl on your nas
