New to Buffalo (which is weird to say because I lived there for 40 years) and please forgive this idiotic question but I've gone through the manual and searched Google.  Lots about how to backup my new Terastation 1200D but I also want to backup from our PC's to the Terastation 1200D and I can't seem to figure it out.  Is this something you don't do with a NAS or do you use third party software?

Not really an IT guy but I'm as close as it gets for our company of 6 people.

Thanks in advance,

Sean

It's difficult to see the forest through the trees sometimes.  I was using a WD My Cloud and associated software so yeah, I should have taken a step back before asking.  My Cloud backups stopped for some reason and network access was painfully flow so quite happy with the Terastation thus far.

Thank you for the quick reply and apologies for being an idiot.

Cheers,

Sean

  • RAID is NOT a substitute for a good backup

Also, if you're in the US or Canada the TeraStation comes with licenses for NovaBackup:
