Have you tried installing the software on another computer?
Try downloading the software from this website instead of using the CD.
If you can access the drive and transfer data, then the drive itself is fine and it seems to be software issues.

The uninstaller shortcut seems to work! The other doesn't appear to do anything.

Turbo USB is supposed to massively speed up drive transfer rate. To say it's just a software problem and the drive is fine is not good. It is not the value proposition that was presented.
Also, the firmware update?? hd-ceu2-v300.exe does not appear to do anything. How do you install the fw update???
Oh, and after TurboUSB installation shows the exclamation window and you close that. Then you get a Popup that says TurboUSB cannot be enabled.
