USB backup
« on: June 08, 2017, 12:32:06 PM »
Hi. Just installed a Linkstation LS220 and it's working fine. I have two terabyte disks in it running RAID1 and the first sync from my pc worked flawlessly.
However, I've now attached a 2.5" USB drive for backup and I can't seem to get backup to work as, having set Immediate, the process is stuck on "Standing by".
I formatted the USB disk when first connected to XFS ( the only other option given was FAT32).

Cheers
Moby

Delete and recreate the job. Make 100% sure your USB drive is the target.
**A single copy of data, even on a RAID array, is NOT a backup! Hard drive failure is not a question of IF, but WHEN! Don't take my word for it, take Google's!**

Deleted and recreated. The USB drive is the target.
Still the same, stuck on "Standing by".

Hmmm, have you tried a different drive?
