can I change my 12T terastation to use for data storage
« on: June 01, 2017, 03:03:30 PM »
I may have the most expensive doorstop in history. When I got this 4 disk 12T Terastation, I thought I could use it for data storage. Long story, short: I have never used it and REALLY need more space for data storage. I have 12 terabytes sitting there!
I think in the original set up of it on my network if I indicated to use it as a RAID array. I never put that in action. CAN I CHANGE IT SOMEHOW to make it usable only for data storage? I am a professional photographer and really need the space!

  • RAID is NOT a substitute for a good backup

Since that is what the unit is designed to do it should be pretty straightforward to use it as such. What model is it?
