HS DH750GL lost share after EM firmware update
« on: February 17, 2017, 10:29:36 AM »
The drive went into EM mode, I updated the firmware and it is missing my media share.  The data share appears.   It is not responding to FTP access, I have web access I tried recreating the media share and it says it exists.

Please help

Hi...i am a new user here. In my case my HS-DH500GL ran into EM mode a few days ago, most likely because of a lost power. I tried to upgrade the firmware. After the upgrade and reboot, the error light will keep blinking. I once waited for half an hour and it's still blinking. And I couldn't access the web interface. After reboot it several times, it went to EM mode again. I managed to telnet to it.

EM mode (emergency mode) is the effect of damage in the firmware

You can not open and edit files when the product is in the EM mode.
It can be restored by updating the firmware.
Download the proper firmware, and try to update the firmware.

I was able to do the firmware update. NAS NAV was able to see the main share, IP and Info, I had a media share that is missing.  The drive capacity is 61% which means the files are still there somewhere.  The drive is not letting me FTP into it.

Recreate the share with the same name and settings as before and it should allow you access to it again, otherwise refer to your backup.
PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.
