(1/1)
DOHR:
Greetings in this forum.
Im not able to found my TS-RIX4.0TL/R5EU with the Nas NAvigator Version 2,82.
Other Problem is = Cant upgrade the firmware. Current FW is 1.41. But the updater cant find the device either.
I tried all options= Firewall Offline, directly connected, with a switch, several OS Versions. Im getting mad.
If there is a solution, I would be happy.

This is an iscsi only unit and cannot be found by the NAS Navigator

Accept that fact.
Now I was able to Upgrade the Firmware to 1.66.
Now the Device telling me on his little display= No init FIle on HDD5. And is not reachable over the NEtwork.
I made the FW Upgrade succesfull, so I believe, than the device brought a red display and it was writte "emergency mode" I started it up, again and then comes No init file on HDD5
Any Ideas?

I figured it out.
I found, that EM Mode is a old classic in the buffalo world.
After several trial and errors, I make a workaround.
I formatted all the hdds in EXT3. (takes a damn while)
I started the updater in debug mode

.
checked on the right side to ignore the version, rebuild the partition, forcing the update:
It Takes a while, then comes an error: cant find the partition and aborting the flash/update=
Restart the machine, holding the function button for five seconds, while NAND Flash initialize, and then, leave the machine alone.
It takes a looong time with no informations on the display. But be patient.
Coming to an happy end.
Case closed.
