WZR-1750DHP and connected USB Drive
« on: August 03, 2015, 11:29:52 AM »
Something odd happened last night.  I have a 750 GB External USB 3.0 HDD connected permanently to the router.  I mapped the drive as Y and all is good.  It is there all the time, except for some odd reason...last night the drive could not be accessed either via LAN or WAN.  I had to reboot the router to get it to recognize the external attached drive again.  Is it normal that after four or five days, the drive just stops being accessed?  Am I going to have to reboot the router every time this happens.

I am running the router in router mode as per Ken of technical support

Setup is that I have a Verizon FIOS router in front of the Buffalo...because it feeds my on demand and communication with Verizon via my HD box.  Then wireless is non functional on the Actiontec...I use the Buffalo to do all the LAN and WAN work.

Thanks
