My Terastation Live recently started to behave oddly. It boots on 2nd or 3rd attempt. On the first boot (sometimes 2nd as well) it goes to E04: Can't load krnl, then (after reset button, of course) it boots normally. The HDDs (1T Samsung) make slightly odd noises at the start of the failed boots. After the successful boot attempt - no issues, it all works normally. SMART shows no HDD errors, copying /dev/sda(bsd) to /dev/null causes no troubles.
What can that be?
