So a friend tried to make his IP static for reasons yet to be explained. While doing so he didn't set it correctly and when he attempts to log in it shows 404. I tried to bridge network thru his laptop.. Was able to look at properties and try to change IP and gateway from there but wasn't able to get a response.
I haven't messed much with these storage devices so I'm definitely a novice to everything involved but more savvy than my friend. He can apparently send it in, wherever that is, and get his data off.
I was just curious if I could try anything to solve it rather than having to send it away to resolve this issue?
