« on: March 24, 2015, 01:25:11 AM »
I am unable to access my Linkstation via FTP either LAN or WAN. I've configured it for FTP through the It is connected to an Apple Airport Extreme. I've enabled port 21. I upgraded to the latest FW upon receiving it last week. Here's a link to the steps I'm following to assign the FTP ports in the Airport Extreme. Ironically, I am able to access the WebAccess.

AEBSn - Port Mapping Setup

To setup port mapping on an 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn), either connect to the AEBSn's wireless network or temporarily connect directly, using an Ethernet cable, to one of the LAN port of the AEBSn, and then use the AirPort Utility, in Manual Setup, to make these settings:

1. Reserve a DHCP-provided IP address for the Buffalo NAS.

AirPort Utility > Select the AEBSn > Manual Setup > Internet > DHCP tab
•On the DHCP tab, click the "+" (Add) button to enter DHCP Reservations.
•Description: <enter the desired description of the host device>
•Reserve address by: MAC Address
•Click Continue.
•MAC Address: <enter the MAC hardware address of the Buffalo NAS>
•IPv4 Address: <enter the desired local IP address>
•Click Done.

2. Setup Port Mapping on the AEBSn.

AirPort Utility > Select the AEBSn > Manual Setup >Advanced > Port Mapping tab
•Click the "+" (Add) button
•Service: <you can safely ignore this as it will become "Custom" once you start entering values>
•Public UDP Port(s): 9000
•Public TCP Port(s): 21, 9000
•Private IP Address: <enter the IP address of the NAS that you reserved in step 1>
•Private UDP Port(s): 9000
•Private TCP Port(s): 21, 9000
•Click "Continue"
