LS-QVL-em4f0 in Emergency Mode
« on: January 13, 2015, 11:16:51 PM »
When I open up NasNavigator2, I get
"Status:
Emergency mode. Update the firmware or contact technical support. (2015/01/11 16:47:23)"

Trying to update firmware using LSUpdater FW 1.69, I get the message partition not found - aborting upgrade

In the LinkStation, I put a single 2TB hard drive (led status-green)

How do I format the disk and update the firmware (or Vice Versa)

You will have to format the disk with the LSUpdater. If you dont have your data backup i suggest getting a  company to do so. If you do then go to http://m1econsulting.com/knowledge-base/force-update-buffalo-linkstation-nas/ and you follow Newer Models part and set "noformatting" to 0 instead of 1
Units I own: TS-XL, TS-WXL, LS-WVL, TS-RXL,  TS5400, TS-RVHL,

I don't work for Buffalo but i do love there products enough to help people
