Lost password on Linkstation Duo

I have a 2TB Duo that I forgot my password. I tried to push the function button while turning the power on like the manual said, but I still can not log in (using the original password as set by the factory). I believe the model number is LSW20TGLR1

 

The manual says to turn the unit on while pushing the function button, and then when the blue light starts blinking hold the function button down for 6 seconds. I did this 4 times but the password did not reset.

Are the lights blinking like they should be?  The power light should blink first and then when you tap the function button again both lights should flash blue.  Then the light should turn green when the process is complete.  If that doesn't work you can boot your LS into emergancy mode and trying our TFTP boot proceedure.  PLEASE REMEMBER:  Emergancy mode is different that engineering mode.

You can also just try the force update proceedure but that may still ask for a passsword.
