Probably a driver issue in Windows 7. Make sure you have your USBSTOR drivers!

Microsoft makes the drivers for USB hard drives, it is titled "USBSTOR.inf"

So I have a device called

USB Mass Storage Device (TurboUSB)

and it uses USBSTOR.SYS version 6.1.7100

the issue is that when I use the application Buffalo TurboUSB and ENABLE the TurboUSB the attached disk disappears.

If I do not enable it... everything is fine

That software is not supported for Windows 7, I would recommend not using it if it doesnt work.

Since Windows 7 is not an officially released OS (i.e. available forpurchase) we don't currently support it.  Once the OS is released forretail sale and we have received word from our corporate offices onwhich devices will and will not be supported we'll post the updates onour website.
