« on: October 06, 2014, 05:35:57 AM »
Hi there,
where can I find settings to automatically shutdown and wakeup my WS5400D0804WR2EU daily?
Thanks!

As this system is essentially a Windows file server there isn't a provision for this.

If anything look in to the power options for your unit. You can put it to sled and set WOL and when you send a magic packet the unit will turn on. Haven't tried it since i don't have a WSS. But technical i don't see why not. If it doesn't work then it would be a hardware limitation.
Units I own: TS-XL, TS-WXL, LS-WVL, TS-RXL,  TS5400, TS-RVHL,

I don't work for Buffalo but i do love there products enough to help people

So, you would have to create a task in Windows Task Scheduler to do the shutdown and have another system scheduled to send a magic packet. You have to get into the BIOS of the TS5400 to set the WOL options.
