Air Station Model WZRHPG 450H as Access Point
« on: June 23, 2014, 09:36:20 AM »
I have a Buffalo Air station WZRHPG 450H that I want to use as an access point with another manufacturer's wireless router.  I understand that is doable.  I found instructions but I'm confused.  First, it says "Put the AirStation in AP mode by moving the switch on the bottom from AUTO to BRI."  On my Air Station, the switch choices are "On," "Off" and "Auto."  Which position should I use?

Next, it says, " Temporarily change your computer’s IP address to an unused address on the 192.168.11.x subnet, with subnet mask 255.255.255.0."  My ISP is Comcast.  How do I do that?  Should I do that?

Any help (the more detail the better), will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Use the OFF position, bare in mind these buttons only work with the user friendly firmware, not the default DDWRT firmware.
PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.
