Windows 8 and old Terastation
« on: April 20, 2014, 08:58:20 PM »
I have an old HD-H1.0TGL/R5 Terastation server which has worked great for the last 8 years.  How that I have a Windows 8 machine, I am no longer able to map to the drive (even if I type the IP address).  I am able to login to the box using the IP address, but when I try to map to it using the IP address, it doesn't work.  Any ideas?

You need to lower a certain settings. Buffalo has a software tool for this. Here is the direct link.

http://www.buffalotech.com/support-and-downloads/download/lmclchg-113.zip

there will be a application with 2 rings. run it and lower the sharing security. I forgot the setups but its not to much you can click..
Units I own: TS-XL, TS-WXL, LS-WVL, TS-RXL,  TS5400, TS-RVHL,

I don't work for Buffalo but i do love there products enough to help people
