Ath0 is the physical 2.4ghz radio interface. This cannot be changed. The radio transmits on that band.
Ath1 is the physical 5ghz radio interface. This also cannot be changed.
Bonding is likely referring to using double channel on the 2.4 ghz band under 802.11n. This is set up in the interface as 'n' only and using 40mhz 'turbo' mode.
Important thing here is that your client has to also do this for you to push 40mhz. Also, this takes up most of the 2.4ghz band. If you have a neighbor closer than 100 yards away, you will be trampling each other's signals if they have a wireless router on 2.4ghz. Which a lot of people do.
So your TV's wireless adapter is the wild card. Can it do concurrent Dual Band, or can it even operate on 5ghz at all? Is there any configuration settings on the TV itself?
