How can I automatically backup my machines on specific time?
« on: January 30, 2014, 09:27:40 PM »
Would someone please point me the page/ link/ etc...about how to back up or to schedule back up on the certain times for my 2 machines (local) and 2 others on the different place/ building. Thank you in advance.
I just bought new Linkstation 420, 2x1TB at Raid1. I am in the 10 hours journey now to get the Raid1 done.

bump anybody? It seems very simple when I saw it on the manual such as: click the backup then click the bla, click the bla BUT I couldn't see my local drive at all. The one that I saw is the folder/s on the NAS itself.

FINALLY, I get the replied (from myself)....! I have to install the 3rd party software (nova pro) to make the backup worked; actually, this software is included on the linkstation BUT it is NOT written anywhere on manual or guide..etc..
Now, i can back up my local drive/etc..into my nas. I can open, write, drag...etc..from office or other place into my nas at home by installing buffalo web access into remote machines BUT i don't know or I couldn't find the way to automatically backup my remote machines into my nas at home. Any help please.....................................!

Bump, anyone? Buffalo support? Again, how can i backup files/documents from my office into my linkstation 420 at home?
Note: I installed nova pro; I know how to backup locally; I can drag/open/read/write on the buffalo nas by using buffalo web access software/app.

Do you have a static ip at both ends or do you use dyndns or are you using a VPN between the 2 sites?
