Hello,
Yesterday, after a brief power outage in the building, the unit got stuck in "boot up" mode with blinking blue Power light. It has been in this state for almost 24 hours now. The power mode switch has always been in the "on" position. Putting the power mode switch at the back to OFF does not shut it down. I tried unplugging the power cord, with power switch to off then plug in power cord, then slide the power switch to ON, the unit then starts up, but stuck in boot up stage again.
Please help. Thanks!

I got this response from Buffalo Support:

There are two potential fixes: the forced firmware update (http://forums.buffalotech.com/index.php?topic=10184.0) and the TFTP boot process (http://forums.buffalotech.com/index.php?topic=10185.0). If neither of these bring the unit back to normal, it will need to be replaced.

The procedure to update the firmware solves the problem. But I lost everything on the disk, although I had not specified Formatting the drive when I ran the LSUpdater program.

Hope this helps.
