Buffalo 1750HP and Ipad support
« on: August 14, 2013, 10:14:42 PM »
Hello,

I've had nothing but problems with my IPad (3) and my new Buffalo 1750HP router. The Pad is always dropping or looking for connection. I see this problem with both A & G bands. The IPad works for a short time and then connection is lost.

I've tried different channels and the behavior seems to be the same. Has this router been tested with the IPad? I never had this problem with my old wireless WRT160NL router running the latest dd-wrt firmware. I'm almost to the point of switching back.

I have two Window7 Laptops one connects on the A band and other on the G band, no problem. I have a Ruko (wireless) on the A band, no problem.

I've disabled WSO & AOSS

What's up with the IPad?

I had same issue on 2.08. I rolled back to 2.07 and the issue went away. I also noticed this week they took 2.08 off the download tab on the wzr-1750dhp's page on buffalotech.com.

You will have to reconfigure router once you load 2.07

The 2.08 firmware is still available on the auto update of the unit though...

Regardless.. It was on the website too and they removed it after a week. ...I had the same issue on 2.08 and rolling back to 2.07 resolved the issue. I would bet a call into buffaloes tech support would advise you to roll back to 2.07...

Bad Buffalo!

Having customers install the 2.08 update without a field bulletin warning of the IPad problems is a sign of poor customer service!

My online purchase product review will reflect Buffalo's lack of commitment to their customers! This is just annoying...

Totally agree,

I had problems with my two iPhone 5.

Reverted to 2.07 and it is OK

There was an issue with the Broadcom code in their SDK and Apple devices implemented with the 2.08 firmware. We apologize for this and in the interim have placed 2.07 as the firmware available on our website. For users of Apple devices it is recommended to downgrade to 2.07.

We are working to release a 2.09 firmware with this issue resolved as soon as possible.

Devices affected are iOS & OSX devices.

Thank you.
