I had a conversation with a very helpful tech to told me, basically, that any drive that was Sata 2, 7200RPM, and at least 32MB Cache would be fine to replace the drives in my NAS.

My problem is that I've run out of room and want to continue to be mirrored with the NAS.

I'm looking at a Seagate Barracuda 7200 3 TB 7200RPM SATA 6 Gb/s NCQ 64MB Cache 3.5-Inch Internal Bare Drive ST3000DM001

and cannot seem to get a clear answer from anyone in tech as to whether it:

"will not work" or "is not supported in that machine" which might mean that it could work but they do not support it.

In my mind this is the same as getting a larger hard drive in a pc, you don't throw out the pc because you ran out of storage space.

Any help in answering this question would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks,
