burning blu ray on mac with toast 11
« on: March 04, 2012, 01:21:52 PM »

I have received many error messages as I try to burn my blu ray.  I am using an off brand (less expensive media disc).  What discs does Buffalo recommend?  I have a BR-PX68U2 burner.  I understand that Vebatim discs are well accepted by most burners.  Any hints would be appreciated.

You need to perform the following steps.
  • HD video content from your TiVo, iMovie, HD video Camera, Final Cut, etc.
  • A Toast 11 support or compatible drive is capable of burning Blu-ray discs,
  •  Toast 11 or Titanium Pro 9 or later.
  • Recordable Blu-ray (BD-R) media if you need some, you can find it here.
  • A Mac with a G5 or Intel processor running OSX 10.5 or later.
  • Considerable time - The encoding process can take quite a while, depending on your source footage and computer model.
  • Enough free drive space as the size of the disc you wish to create.

Hope, after doing the above steps, you are able to fix your issue. But unfortunately, if you are still running with the issue and need technical support, then internet will be the best option.
