WHR-HP-G54 Help please...

Hello all!

 

I just purchased a new modem and wireless router...

 

Modem = Morotola SB6120 >> Provisioned and working...

Wireless Router = Buffalo WHR-HP-G54

 

I plug the Buffalo in and I have an looks like it coming from the Modem...

Cat5 from Computer to Buffalo I get inter and all is good... When I connect to the Buffalo wirelessly I can't access the internet...

 

Switch is in Auto mode and Bridge light is on in the front....  When I use the CD that came with the Buffalo I can't see to get to a place to configure the wireless access...

 

I feel stumped and like a bone head... I hope this is something simple...

 

Help !!! Please...

It looks like you have the router set in Bridge mode.  Look on the bottom of the router for an Auto-Bri switch, make sure it is in Auto, then reset the router to defaults and log into the web interface and reconfigure it like normal.

 

That should allow you to connect wirelessly to the router and get internet on your wireless client.

It seems like its actually in bridge mode. Move the switch to bridge, reset the router, put it back to auto and then reset it again. You should get an ip address of 192.168.11.X.

I resolved the isssue this am... Connected Laptop directly to Motorola SB6120 modem with router disconnected... all worked well... so I reset the Buffalo router...

 

Connected my Laptop to the router... still isolated from the modem...  I cloned my Laptop MAC address to the Router and selected get DHCP info... Hit apply.... connected the WAN ports - Router to Modem... Disconnected Laptop wired connecting...

 

Selected wireless connection and not all my laptops connects and all works as described...
