Hey everyone! First post.

Just bought the WZR-HP-G300NH from newegg and i've hooked it up recently and have been pretty happy with it.  My only issue is that I can't access any shared folders on my network using a wireless connection.

I have a 2 desktops (LAN) and 1 laptop(WLAN) on my home network.  The two desktops can access each other and if I plug an ethernet cable into my laptop than it can also access each computer too.  When I use the wireless card on the laptop though, I can't access any computer's shared folders.

-All firewalls disabled for debuging

-Reinstalled File and Printer sharing on all computers.

-All computers are on the same workgroup.

-Reinstalled Wireless card drivers

It seems to be an issue with either router(possible a setting) or the wireless card, or perhaps the laptop using the wireless connection.

If I hook up my old router than everything works fine, both through WLAN and LAN. My old router is a Netgear MR814v2 and my wireless card is a Netgear WG511v2.

Thanks in advance for your help!

So, I went and hooked up a USB wireless adapter to one of the desktops and connected the desktop to the wireless connection.  Now I am able to share with my wireless laptop now.  I still can not share between WLAN and LAN.

So it seems that my wireless shares are isolated from my wired shares.

I have looked everywhere in my router's settings and all I can find is a selection

under Advanced Wireless settings called "Privacy Separator". I've got that un-checked and it's been un-checked since I started.

Any Ideas?

What is the ip addresses for your wired and wireles? Are they in the same subnet? Are they dynamically acclocated or via dhcp? Is any special rule on dhcp addresses?

I don't see any difference except for the internal IP addresses which is normal.  Neither computers can ping each other between WLAN and LAN but they can ping each other if they are both using LAN or both using WLAN connections.

Any Ideas? :smileyhappy:

Make sure "Seperate Feature" is unticked in basic wireless settings and make sure "Privacy Seperator" is unticked in Advanced wireless settings.

Amazing,  All it was was that I "Separate Feature" checked under basic wireless settings.  No idea if I checked it or it was checked by default but everything is working great now. Phew!

If it's checked by default than i'm surprised no one else is complaining.  Oh well.

Thanks for your help Aveyer and otaranda!
