LS 1000GL Fails to power up (1x LED )
« on: April 25, 2011, 07:42:14 AM »

Hi there,

My LS 1000GL fails to power up after it tripped out while powerd on. I tried to restart it numerous times but I get a 1x LED flash after 5 seconds having green signals on Power and Link/Act. The drive powers down in an instant after the red LED flashes.

Are there any chances to recover files that were not included in my last backup and how would I go about it?

Any ideas?

You could try recovering the data using the internal HDD of the unit in your Windows Pc with a software called UFS explorer. This should be able to detect the HDD if the HDD is still good.

I managed to recover the missing files with Knoppix (Linux) after removing the HDD from the LS box and connecting it via a sata usb case.
