Buffalo HD drive problem

Product # HD-CE500U2 have changed the usb cord twice and it will not register on the computer as a drive ? any thoughts thanks

It's probably something other than the USB cord.  Does it light up?

Have you tried another pc? And can you see the drive in disk management?

Its an option to view disk information. If you tell me what operating system you are running I can help you find it.

OK will try that but would it not also show up in the section called computer drive, when looking at what drive you have going?

I have no reason for this or answer but just pluged the HD in the usb and it came up on the computer system, are ther any new updates on the software for HD Thanks for all your time sorry to have wasted it :

Hey no problem were here to help. There are not any updates for this drive though. Its a simple drive that requires a driver that windows has built in and thats it.
