Server missing from AD list
« on: October 02, 2010, 10:27:42 am »

I am having a problem with a Link Station Pro Duo and active directory. I have a domain with 3 servers (2 domain controllers and 1 file server) and 60 users. I have setup the LS with active directory and everything works great except I am missing my file server from the AD list on the Link Station. If I try to map to the Link Station from the file server I can see the LS listed but canít map to it.

The file server is visible and usable to all users on the domain except for the LS.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Which firmware version are you using on the unit?  Which version of Microsoft Server?

Thanks for responding. I have just solved the problem. It turned out to be a DNS not liking the LS name. Changed the name of the LS and everything seems to be working.

Thanks Again
