In addition to the power light flashing red, I can press the function key then the drive lights appear to function normally, though the unit cannot be powered off with the power button. It stopped responding on the network several days ago and I have been trying to bring it back up since then.
I have tried the EM steps in this post:
http://forums.buffalotech.com/t5/Solved-Storage-Threads/Flashing-blue-lights-on-Linkstation-Quad-4TB-LS-QL-R5/m-p/6282
This did not work, the power light never did go solid. Does not respond on the network. Could not locate any other instructions for EM mode. (this model is not included in the FAQ.
Attempted tftp, however, the link:
ftp://24.153.165.234/array1/share/nas-recovery/
Does not work, so this process could not even be attempted.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,

Seems to work for me, what browser are you using?
It is working for me now as well.
Using IE last night, 'server not found' error.
I have downloaded it and will attempt the tftp boot this evening.
Thanks!
